The “Many Reasons” Why B. Smyth's Career is a tragic train wreck | Ebonynsweet

These days, recording artists are expected to do it all; being a triple-threat is no longer really a distinctive trait when it comes to Music's biggest names. So, it comes as no surprise that many Internet Famous Celebs that aren't particularly gifted musically, try their hands at a music career.

Perhaps the most infamous attempt to launch a career in music was  "Karaoke" Singer B. Smyth, (27) which lasted just one single the glorious trainwreck that is "Leggo". The song was released in 2012 and did not enter the Billboard Hot 100. It also failed to break the Top 40 of the US R&B Songs Chart.

Early in his career, when I first seen the news that B.Smyth was arrested on 12/23/13 for allegedly verbally abusing an Police Officer, I was disappointed. Smyth was cited with a traffic violation, but rejected it. Police then took Smyth into custody for trespassing because he refused to leave the gas station. At that time he accused the officer of racial profiling. It was an desperate act for a once-promising young star, a final appeal for fame from someone with no other options.

It’s not uncommon for celebrities to hit a rough patch in their career. Possibly it’s because the novelty of their persona has worn off. Or maybe their actions behind the scenes poisoned their career. Then there are the singers who have been plagued with poor management.

Some of these artists managed to make a comeback through an impressive performance or album, however Smyth has not released his debut album. He did however release an 7-track EP in 2013 The Florida Files to a poor reception. Smyth, continued to release several singles since then, but all failed to become a hit. As a result his label RCA Records placed his album on hold. In 2017, he leaked a collection of those songs online, mostly out of frustration with his label. The mixtape was titled #THR3, which was largely ignored by the music industry.

As the music industry continues to evolve, Smyth is being left far behind. It takes more than just a pretty smile and 6-pack abs to become an successful artists these days. Smyth, never fully embraced the art or special craft behind what it takes to become an sex symbol. You can't just sing about sex, you have to really be about it.

Unlike the r&b greats that came before him such as Usher, Trey Songz and August Aslina. Smyth, attempts to just use sex as a marketing ploy, but in reality he's painfully shy about showing-off his body. We couldn't find one photo of him just wearing boxers lol. Isn't that kinda weird? And more recently he unfollowed our Official twitter account because we displayed full nudity! If our blog is too vulgar for him, then why is he even singing about sex in the first place? This being extremely odd, since his last release was an song called "Ride Good", featuring LightskinKeisha. A very sexualized song about penetration and eating pussy.

Smyth's hypocritical attitude toward sexuality won't go unnoticed by fans or industry insiders. You can't consider yourself a 'Bedroom" singer and then be scared of nudity, he's an abomination. Smyth's record label can no longer convincingly place him in the same category as "Chris Brown". Because, we all know that Chris knows how to get down! He ain't never scared.

Smyth, erratic behavior, such as unfollowing his major supporters on social media and lashing out at fans is just an indicator that his career is over.
