WTF? Onlyfans to Ban Adult Content

 By Stanley M | Date: August 19, 2021

OnlyFans has announced that it will ban sexually explicit content starting in October. It's been reported that pressure from Wall-street and payout providers like Visa and MasterCard has contributed to this decision. Earlier this year Onlyfans was seeking an 1 billion dollar vaulation. And plans to launch an app in the iOS app store. Both of which don't allow pornography. They will focus solely on SFW (safe of work) material going forward.

The company's official statement:

Effective 1 October, 2021, OnlyFans will prohibit the posting of any content containing sexually-explicit conduct. In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines. Creators will continue to be allowed to post content containing nudity as long as it is consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy.

These changes are to comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers.

We will be sharing more details in the coming days and we will actively support and guide our creators through this change in content guidelines.

OnlyFans did not respond to news inquiries as to its definition of sexually explicit content or how it expected this would impact the company’s bottom line.

The OnlyFans platform has become an safe haven for sex-workers. Over the pandemic it exploded in popularity. It has allowed content creators to avoid predatory adult production companies, by opting to be self-made.

There's no doubt that this recent move is an assault on the entire Adult Industry. Banking institutes in the US like Visa and MasterCard are increasingly placing pressure on porn-sites to shut down.

We need to fight back! It's our constitutional right to buy legal pornography in the US. We predict that there will be a muti-billion dollar civil-action lawsuit against the payment processors forcing these shutdowns in the near feature.
